Emergency crews attended a fire on a boat which was towed to Brighton Marina.
Newhaven RNLI towed the boat after an “accidental fire” on board while out at sea.
Firefighters attended the marina this morning but the fire was out on arrival.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 11.10am on September 5 to an accidental fire on a 44-foot boat which was towed to Brighton Marina by RNLI Newhaven.
“The fire was out on arrival. Crews from Preston Circus and Roedean were in attendance. Thermal imaging cameras were used to check for hotspots.
“There were two casualties suffering from smoke inhalation, they were given first aid at the scene and handed over to the care of Secamb.”
