Smoke is billowing into the air above a commuter road this morning as a sports car remains engulfed by flames.
Traffic on the A23 north of Bolney is down to just one lane at a reduced speed as drivers edge carefully past the fire.
The incident was first reported at roughly 6am today (July 6) with footage showing the car well alight before fire crews arrived.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 6.10am we responded to a small vehicle fire on the A23 northbound, Hickstead to Bolney.
"Joint Fire Control sent fire engines from Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath to the scene, with support provided by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
"Upon arrival crews found one car well alight and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly got to work to extinguish the fire using hose reels.
"The fire was of accidental ignition and fortunately there were no casualties.
"Once the fire was extinguished, fire crews left the scene at around 7am.
"Sussex Police also attended the incident to assist with traffic management."
South East Coast Ambulance Service and Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
