Dramatic scenes unfolded in a town this morning as a van became engulfed in flames.
Emergency services responded at 8.51am today (May 12) to reports of a van fire in High Street, Lewes, and arrived on scene just two minutes later.

Traffic was halted by a police officer in the road while fire crews used a hose and breathing apparatus to bring the blaze under control by 9.10am.
Video footage from the scene shows smoke billowing from underneath the van’s bonnet and from the cab.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that there were no casualties.
