A veteran radio DJ is coming to Sussex as part of a UK tour showcasing “perhaps the most iconic ten years in music”.

Tony Blackburn will be coming to the Eastbourne Royal Hippodrome Theatre and Hastings White Rock Theatre for his Sounds of the 60s tour.

The 79-year-old Radio DJ, who started his career with Radio Caroline South in 1964, will be hosting the show which will have a live band and singers, as well as stories about memories from the era.

He is at Hastings on February 21 and Eastbourne on May 18.

Tony will be turning 80 while on tour, performing in his hometown of Guildford a few days before his birthday on January 29.

His career has seen him present on BBC Radio 1, Top of the Pops, and since 2017 he has presented Sounds of the 60s on Radio 2.

The tour is finishing on June 29 in Southend.

Tony performed at the Theatre Royal in New Road, Brighton, on January 11.
