THESE pictures show fire crews battling a blaze at a scrapyard in Newhaven.
Firefighters from across Sussex including crews from Seaford, Lewes, Preston Circus and Hove were called to a fire in East Quay, Newhaven yesterday.
At 5:48pm, six pumps, including an aerial ladder, rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze.
Pictures taken from the scrapyard show firefighters high above the mound of waste as they worked to extinguish the fire from above.

Crews were snapped investigating the source of the blaze that lasted until 7.33pm, when crews began to dampening down the scene.
Writing on Twitter, an East Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "At 17:48 we were called to a fire in East Quay, Newhaven.
"Six pumps are in attendance from Seaford, Newhaven Lewes, Preston Circus and Hove."
Earlier this year, firefighters attended a "deep-seated" fire at Ripley Scrapyard in Newhaven.
Four appliances attended and the fire was located under scrap metal.
