A VAN which had caught fire rolled down a hill and hit another car while still alight.
Dramatic photos show the scene in Valley Road in Newhaven yesterday when a flatbed transit van caught fire at about 6pm.
Footage shared on social media showed the van slowly rolling down the hill while still alight, crashing into another vehicle.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished within an hour.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "We were called to Valley Road at 6.11pm on Friday where a pick up truck had caught fire.
"One fire engine attended the scene and used one foam and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"The fire was put out at 18.53."
The fire service did not state the cause of the fire.
