PARKED cars, including a taxi, have been left severely damaged by fire in an early hours incident.
Police have cordoned off part of Goldstone Crescent in Hove this morning as officers investigate.
Fire crews confirmed they were called to the scene shortly after 2am today.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two appliances were sent to a fire involving two vehicles in Goldstone Crescent, Hove.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and one main jet to tackle the fire."
Photographs of the scene this morning show the bonnets of both cars open exposing the vehicles' charred insides.
The area has been taped off since 8.30am today, residents have reported.
Police cars are currently parked across the road stopping anyone from entering the area.
Officers at the scene have been seen taking pictures of the damaged vehicles.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
