A MAN has been charged after police made an arrest at Brighton Palace Pier.
Police were called to the attraction on Wednesday afternoon following reports of a man making threats to the public.
At the scene, a man was Tasered and arrested by officers.
A witness described seeing about ten police cars and vans parked at the pier, with at least six officers involved in restraining the man.
Lance Brade, 32, a scaffolder, of Albourne Close, Brighton, has been charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence. He also faces a charge of obstructing or resisting police in the execution of their duty.
He has been released on conditional bail to appear before Brighton Magistrates on October 8.
