A PUB has closed after one of its staff members tested positive for coronavirus.
The Blackboys Inn near Uckfield announced on Facebook it has closed while “relevant” staff self-isolate and the pub is deep cleaned.
A staff member at the pub tested positive last week.
“Unfortunately one of our staff members at the Blackboys Inn tested positive for Covid-19 last week,” the Facebook post read.
“We have therefore had to close the pub for the time-being whilst all relevant staff self-isolate in line with the government guidelines and also to allow us to fully deep-clean the pub.
“We thank you for your continued loyalty, cooperation and patience at this difficult time and urge everyone to remain cautious, stay safe and follow our social channels for further updates on our reopening.
“The Blackboys Inn management team are consulting with Public Health England and will continue to follow their guidance going forwards.
“Harvey’s Brewery holds the health & safety and well-being of our customers and staff with the upmost of importance.”
