A SKIP lorry caught fire as it drove along a busy road.
Flames leapt from the back of the lorry on the A27 flyover at Shoreham at 1.30pm.
Fire crews were called to deal with the blaze.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a skip lorry on fire.
"One crew from Shoreham Fire Station was mobilised to the scene and upon arrival used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
"Crews remained at the scene using a thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no further hotspots, before booking away from the incident at 1.59pm.”
