THE number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Brighton and Hove has increased in 24 hours.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the number of confirmed Covid-19 case in the city rose from 86 to 153 - by far the biggest daily increase in confirmed cases to date.
The number of cases rose by 67 in one day.

By comparison, the second largest increase in daily cases happened between Thursday and Friday last week.
The number of cases then rose by 21.
Elsewhere in Sussex, numbers also increased dramatically.
The East Sussex total climbed from 181 to 229 and the West Sussex total reached 320 from 266.
The total number of confirmed cases nationally has reached 60,733.
Yesterday, the total number of deaths within Sussex trusts reached 142.
The number of deaths nationally is currently at 7,097.
