FIREFIGHTERS were called when two cars and a coach parked near Shoreham flyover went up in flames on Saturday afternoon.
Crews were called to the blaze at the Cement Works near the A283 shortly before 4pm.
It is not known how the fire started.
Two fire engines and two water carriers helped put out the flames.
A spokeswoman from West Sussex Fire and Rescue said two teams worked on the “large fire”.
She added the flames were close to surrounding buildings.
Fire crews remained until late evening, damping the affected area.
Pictures from the scene reveal a red bus had been badly damaged.
Brighton and Hove Buses services in Steyning were disrupted because of the incident.
