SWIMMERS will be able to take a dip in the only Grade II* listed lido in the country for as little as £5 when it opens this summer.
Saltdean Lido bosses have released the price list for the refurbished outdoor pool ahead of its grand opening later this month.
Swimmers will be able to take a dip for the opening weekend on June 17 and 18 for £10 per session with funds raised being ploughed straight back into the overhaul of the attraction.
Residents desperate to dip a toe after five years’ wait can start booking tickets from 9am this morning.
Organisers have arranged four two-hour sessions on the first day between 10am and 6pm to meet the expected demand for tickets.
After that, the lido will open for the next three weekends before opening daily between 7am and 7pm from July 9 until early September.
Standard prices will be £7.50 per session with concession £5 prices for low income, disabled, carers, and over 65 customers.
Juniors can swim for £5 while a family ticket for two adults and two children is £20.
An all-day ticket will cost £12 or £8 for concessions all day while an individual summer swim season ticket is £150 and £250 for families.
Rebecca Crook, Saltdean Lido CIC chairwoman, said: “This is a major milestone for the project and really exciting for residents to at long last have access to the pool.
“We’ve spent almost £3 million restoring the pool to its former glory and will for the first time offer heated water and a children’s paddling pool and wet play area.
“The entire project has been run by volunteers and we now need people to massively continue to support the scheme by using the lido.
“For any season tickets purchased in advance we will be offering free tickets for a session over the opening weekend as a thank you.’
“We still have a huge way to go as this is just phase one of the project with the iconic main building still urgently needing restoration works. We hope people will see we’ve done what we said we would do – save the site from residential development and bring it back into use.”
