A MAN'S body has been found on a beach today.
Police and paramedics were called to a report by a passer-by of an unresponsive man on the beach of Brighton between the i360 and the West Pier just before 2pm today.
A police spokeswoman said: "Despite efforts to revive him, the male was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and it is not believed the male had been in the water."
One witness told The Argus: "He had a heart attack while sunbathing.
"We were just chilling on the beach and the private ambulance arrived."
Lifeguards set up a screen to shield the process of removing the man's body from the beach and undertakers came to collect it just before 4pm.
The coroner has been informed.
It is not known how old the man was or if he was local to the area.
