A PICTURE showing two bare bums has been banned from Brighton Station following a complaint.
Danny Fitzpatrick was told the racy picture of riders preparing for the Brighton Naked Bike Ride was a bit too cheeky for one passenger passing through Brighton Station.
Mr Fitzpatrick had included the shot as part of a Brighton Fringe exhibition showing 23 portraits of locals who contribute towards the city's unique image.
But the father-of-two was called on Tuesday by a manager at Brighton Station, who broke the news.
The 40-year-old, who lives in Woodingdean, said he is taking it down.
He said: "It's a shame someone found it offensive. It's only a couple of bums but the station has to look after its customers.
"The station phoned me quite apologetic and said unfortunately we have had a complaint so it can't stay.
"As soon as she started the conversation I knew it was going to be about that picture.
"The person complaining said it wasn't appropriate for their kids.
"My kids love it. My little boy wants it in his bedroom but I'm not going to allow that.
"It's not a world uproar and everybody is entitled to their opinion."
Mr Fitzpatrick ran the picture past the station beforehand and said bosses there have been very supportive of the exhibition.
He said: "They said first of all that because it's Brighton and the bike ride goes on here we don't have a problem with it.
"Then it got lots of attention but I was very careful. Apart from two bums there's no explicit nudity in there.
"I hoped that people would have been OK with it but these things happen.
"The station have been really good to me and are just responding to customer complaints so it's fine by me."
A railway spokesman said: "We received a complaint that the image was not suitable for children to be seeing, so we contacted the artist and requested its removal."
Mr Fitzpatrick wants to keep adding to the exhibition and fill the whole wall up.
His exhibition was supposed to end on June 5 but he said the station has allowed it to carry on for longer.
