The Governors at Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) have announced Katie Scott has been appointed as the new headteacher.

Ms Scott, who is currently deputy headteacher at Sir Robert Woodard Academy in Lancing, will take up this position this September.

She underwent a thorough and exhaustive selection process and her passion for the academy, commitment to education, and student focus shone through, according to governors.

The recruiters also visited her in her current school and were impressed with the work she has led there.
