Football fans are launching an online magazine to celebrate Whitehawk FC.
The Din Magazine will debut on January 27, the evening before the Hawks meet Chelmsford.
Co-creator Henry Stockley, 21, has only followed the club for five months after falling in love with them after a visit in August.
He said: “There is something a bit more charming about Whitehawk compared with other clubs in the area.”
He hopes the magazine will provide an outlet for debate. He said: “In modern day society, it’s hard to get your point across as a football fan.”
The fanzine, run as a voluntary project by Mr Stockley and friend Doug Grant, pictured, aims to tell the untold story of Whitehawk.
Mike Lance, 64, Whitehawk assistant executive and kit man, said: “We are always trying to get more people through the doors.
“Fans are the one thing you can’t buy in football. The fanzine coming out is great.”
He said all the players would give interviews and that the club was looking forward to the magazine going online.
As well as general articles, player interviews, match reports, ‘unsung heroes’ and interviews with famous fans, academic essays on the state of modern football will feature in the fanzine.
Peter Smith, 29, a Whitehawk fan and future online contributor, said: “I’ve been going to Whitehawk for about four years now and am totally in love with the club. I want to write an article about how it all started.”
He said the number of people attending has grown since he first started going, with a much younger fan base taking advantage of free tickets for under-18s at home games.
The fanzine will also show the club’s work and commitment to the local area. Whitehawk’s next match is against Crawley in the Sussex Senior Cup on Tuesday.
