A motorist had a lucky escape after his car caught fire.
This Ford caught fire as it was being driven along Pyecombe Street off the A23 near to the BP garage at about 2pm this afternoon.
Fortunately the driver was able to evacuate the car without sustaining any injuries and firefighters were quickly on hand to bring the blaze under control.
