A large lorry has been severely damaged after it was set alight in a lay-by.
Firefighters were called to a large articulated lorry on fire at the junction between Hertford Road and Teville Road in Worthing at about 4.50am this morning.
Two fire crews from Worthing station attended the scene for more than an hour to bring the fire under control.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said it was believed that the lorry had been deliberately set alight and that it had been parked in the lay-by for some time prior to the incident.
