A driver had a lucky escape after their car caught on fire as they travelled along the motorway.
The driver was heading southbound near Crawley on the M23 at 12.50am today when an engine fault led to it catching on fire.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “It was well alight.
“We received a lot of calls about it.”
The driver escaped uninjured.
