A woman was assaulted in a park by an attacker dressed as a postman.
The victim was walking through Preston Park in Brighton when she was grabbed from behind by the assailant and pulled to the floor.
The attacker ran off after he was disturbed by a dog walker.
Sussex Police said enquiries suggested the man was either an ex Royal Mail employee or someone posing as a postman.
He wore a light blue post office style shirt with a red logo on the breast pocket and knee length navy blue shorts. His shirt had two or three buttons undone.
He was described as white, aged 40 to 45, medium build and 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in tall with dark blond hair clipped short at the sides and back and longer on top.
Police said Royal Mail had been helping them with enquiries and early indications were that the suspect was not a current employee.
The police have appealled for any information about the attack which took place at around 1.55pm on Tuesday, July 1. Anyone with information should call 0845 607099 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
