A two-year-old girl is seriously ill in hospital after she was hit by van.
She was hit in Susan's Road at the junction of Tideswell Road, Eastbourne, by a local woman driving a white Renault van at 5.20pm on Friday.
The toddler suffered serious injuries and has been transferred to a hospital in London.
The woman was arrested and remains in police custody.
