Profile: A new signing to the Brighton-based Beatabet label this year, Spacenoid released their debut EP Clive And Direct in March.

The trio originate from hours of home recordings made by multi-instrumentalist Max Numajiri in 2007.

After a realisation that the heavily orchestrated pieces would be near impossible to recreate live without a mini-orchestra, he investigated the electronic technology used by bands like Battles to form the basis of a new project.

The band debuted in the Shunt Lounge vaults beneath London Bridge, creating a cinematic expanse of sound through just three performers. They are now working on their debut album.
