PlasticineFrom: Brighton Influences: The Horrors, Suede, Foals, Pulp, anything Krautrock. Profile: Plasticine is a charismatic Brighton-based, unashamedly indie collective armed with emotive songs that are crafted through escapist lyricism, soaring guitar lines and robotic grooves. The four-piece formed in 2011 and locked themselves in an attic until they had put together a decent live set. A year of gigs across the South East and demo recordings honed the band’s sound. In 2013 the band’s track Hard Being Strange was chosen to feature on One Inch Badge Records’s best of Brighton compilation Sea Monsters 3. This was followed up with a support slot for indie heroes The House of Love and a frenetic Great Escape show in May. Dreamers Of The Day is Plasticine’s first stand-alone single release and is available exclusively via The Argus until an official release in September.
