Profile: Peggy Sue & The Pirates is Rosa Rex and Katy Klaw from Brighton via London. In January 2006, Katy was offered a gig and asked Rosa along to keep her company on stage. The duo played three songs one of which they wrote that night and Peggy Sue and the Pirates was born.

Accompanied only by an acoustic guitar the duo have since played more than 100 shows supporting the likes of The Gossip, Joan as Police Woman, The Maccabees, Jack Penate, Blood Red Shoes and Kate Nash - who they supported on her first UK tour.

The pair are currently putting together a homemade series of monthly limited edition CD compilations featuring demos of old and new songs and covers of songs they like. The CDs are available from the pair's MySpace site for £4 each and are limited to 100 copies each.
