Nick Hudson & The Academy Of Sun

Profile: Having started out as a self-recording musician, composer and poet, Nick put together the band The Academy Of Sun in late 2009.

The mix includes violin, flute, guitar and harp, which helps bring his combination of piano-based songcraft, field recording, grandiose orchestrations, improvisation and electronica to the stage. The band has been working on the follow-up to last year’s album TERRitORies of disSENT, which will be his 15th album to date. My Antique Son, a collection of songs for dead poets, will be released on this summer, and features London, which sees Nick put the words of William Blake to music.
