I'm Being GoodFrom: Brighton Profile: While One Inch Badge Records's Seamonsters 2 is focusing on new music from the city, it's not just focusing on brand new bands. I'm Being Good now has five albums of their signature "beautiful, ugly, detuned, spitting and spluttering out-rock" to their name, the latest being November's Mountain Language, released on Nottingham's Gringo Records. Starting life as a bedroom project by Andrew Clare based around early 1990s guitar-dirge-on-tape, it swiftly grew into a full band, releasing a handful of 7ins on their own Infinite Chug label and recording a hard-to-find session for the BBC's John Peel. Although an album deal with Rough Trade offshoot Lissy fell through, the band did later sign with the Ché, Slampt and Kill Rock Stars labels, and play shows with the likes of Melt Banana, Trumans Water and the Country Teasers.
