Profile: Brighton's own Black Bonds have already signed a management deal with DigiTune Management, and were selected as finalists in the RPI-X Factor battle of the bands at London's Cargo on the strength of one of their demos.

The band came second to Paul Newton in the utility industry's national battle of the bands earlier this month, and helped raise more than £8,500 for charity along the way.

What's even more amazing is that the four-piece only got together earlier this year - and so far only have three recorded tracks to their name - Gaslight and Surrender are available alongside this week's Download Yesterday on their website.

They are currently playing regular shows in Brighton and London, having headlined a show at the Pav Tav in Castle Square last night.
