Influences: Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Joan Osbourne, Jefferson Airplane.

Profile: Discovering her passion for music as part of a choir in her Newcastle hometown, Bernice moved down to Brighton after training in musical theatre to concentrate on her own style of music.

Now accompanied by a six-strong live band Bernice's sound combines her own upbeat, poppy lyrics with a folk-tinged backing, as captured on her debut album Garden which is released next month.
