The atmosphere was electric in Concorde 2 as this tribute band took to the stage in an almost faultless homage to the Foo Fighters.
The band had a clear passion for their idols and gave it their all as they played through the American rock megastars’ epic back catalogue, with lesser and better known songs including The Pretender, Monkey Wrench and All My Life.
Dave Grohl is an iconic performer and a difficult person to emulate but lead singer, Jay Apperley, was an impressive look-a-like and performed with gusto, even pulling off the trademark Grohl growl.
His band included drummer Alex Bailey, guitarist Jamie Valentine and bassist Arron Warner. All looked like they were having a blast and produced a big and authentic sound.
The band cranked it up a notch and sent the crowd wild with White Limo; the song Jay was lucky enough to sing with the real Foo Fighters at the venue earlier this month.
The gig came to a rocking crescendo with the crowd screaming along and waving their hands to Best Of You.
For those not lucky enough to see the Foo Fighters in Brighton two weeks ago, this was a fantastic way to get a foo fix.
