MORE than one hundred acts and events will be going into the night for a marathon of performances lasting more than 16 hours for the first Brighton Fringe All-Nighter.

On Bank Holiday Friday across the city Fringe events including theatre, live cabaret, circus, music, performances and art installations will be rattling into the early hours with performances starting at 6pm and the final finishing at 10.30am the next morning.

The all-nighter kicks off with a late night edition of Fringe City which will see performers take to New Road and perform under the stars.

At the Sweet Dukebox there will be a 12 hour strictly-adult charades, late night Bogan Bingo at Komedia, a special breakfast for the all night revellers at Mange Tout and midnight spoken word at Sweet St Andrew's.

Julian Caddy, managing director of Brighton Fringe, said: “Brighton Fringe can happen anywhere in the city and at any time, day or night. We wanted to celebrate this fact with a combination of evening performances for a special Friday night illuminated Fringe City and a dedicated Fringe All-Nighter programme.

"It will be a great way to kick off the bank holiday weekend, although I’m slightly daunted by the prospect of my inclusion in the charades gameshow. What could possibly go wrong?”

The Fringe All-Nighter programme is available online and a printed map and trail is available from larger Fringe venues and the Brighton Fringe box offices on New Road and North Street.

Other shows include the Eggs Collective, who will be bringing their comedy show Late Night Love to the Marlborough Theatre at 9pm.

Cabaret and circus show No More Miss America, based on the battle against the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City in 1968, will be staged at 2am at Sweet St Andrews

Boogaloo Stu’s cult 1970s pilot gameshow Crimplene Millionaire is coming to the Brighton Spiegeltent at 9.30pm and free comedy from Laughing Horse comedians will be on offer from 10.15pm in pubs across the city.

Cult cabaret artists the Lip Sinkers will be hosting their very own show and after party until 3am at Komedia.
