A MOTORIST has died after suffering a medical episode at the wheel.
Emergency services were called to the A259 just east of the Denton roundabout at 12.51pm to reports a person had collapsed at the wheel.
A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said Sussex Police were first on scene and officers immediately started CPR.
They were joined by an ambulance and three paramedics cars. A community first responder was also sent to the scene.
The spokesman said despite the best efforts of all those attending, the driver died at the scene.
Brighton and Hove Buses said they were unable to serve Seaford while the incident was on going.
The road reopened at 2.20pm.
The A259 has re-opened - all #BH12, #BH12A and #BH12X services are back to normal route! They are still terminating / starting from the Sealife Centre and Arndale Centre due to late running.
