Double-winner Pascal Gross has set his sights on a lifetime in football.

The Albion midfielder was crowned fans’ player and players’ player of the season as awards for 2023-24 were presented on a gala night at the Amex.

He has now won the fans’ award twice, the first coming in his debut Premier League season of 2017-18.

Gross, who will turn 33 in June, revealed he has already started work on coaching qualifications, inspired partly by Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi.

He told The Argus: “I’m doing quite well. I finished my B Licence.

“At the moment I am on my A Licence.

“I want to be in football all my life. I love football so much I would be involved in it even if I hadn’t met Roberto.

“But meeting him helps massively coaching, playing, everything.”

Gross is the sixth man to be named player of the year twice but only former skipper Steve Foster (1980 and 1993) has had a longer period between his two successes.

The others to win twice were Norman Gall (1971 and 1974), Bobby Zamora (2001 and 2002), Danny Cullip (2000 and 2003) and Liam Bridcutt (2012 and 2013).
