A baby tawny owl has been rescued after falling into a hedge.
The East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service said the bird was found alone away from any trees.
There was also no sign of a nest nearby.
The charity has now taken the animal into its care until it is "fully grown" and ready to survive independently.

A spokesman for the charity said: "Found huddled in a hedge this young tawny owl had fallen.
"Away from any trees or signs of a nest there was no choice but to bring this little one into care.
"The first, of no doubt many, that will now remain in care until they are fully grown and independent, ready for release later in the year."
The animal is one of many rescued by the charity so far this year.
Others include a "dehydrated" fox cub that was found down a drain earlier this week and a badger involved in a car accident.
